Each month I host a free 'Journaling for well-being' workshop. It's 30 minutes of support and inspiration for your journaling practice. We focus on two techniques:
1 - Wild writing, a free-style journaling method.
2 - Utilising guided prompts around a particular theme.
The theme for the session was 'setting focus and intentions'.
"How you start, determines how you finish".
Do you ever get to the end of the day and can't remember how you got there? Or gasp at how quick the month went and you haven’t moved the marker on any of the things you wanted to do?
Starting your day, week or month with intention enables you to move with more consciousness - seeking out opportunities to priorities yourself and your goals.
Setting intentions brings awareness to what you may need or want. It enables a point of focus and ensures you're more conscious of making that happen. You're also more likely to bring that intention to life when it has been given this important moment of acknowledgement.
So as we enter this new month, let’s pause for a moment of intention. What would ‘good’ look like for you in September. Try out these prompts to help you find your way:
How would you like to transition into this new month?
What in your life is craving your attention?
How would you like to feel at the end of the month?
What are three personal priorities for you that would nurture your energy and well-being?
What will you do today to set yourself on the road to success?
Why not save this post or share with a friend who you think may find these prompts useful.

Next month, my free journaling workshop takes place on 6th October and is focused on the theme of letting go. You can register here.
Alternatively, you can download my free journaling toolkit to get your started.
