Journaling prompts: letting go

Each month I host a free 'Journaling for well-being' workshop. It's 30 minutes of support and inspiration for your journaling practice. We focus on two techniques:
1 - Wild writing, a free-style journaling method.
2 - Utilising guided prompts around a particular theme.
The theme for the session was 'letting go'.
We are well into autumn now and this time of year reminds that letting go is part of the natural rhythm of things.
What might you be holding on to that you could release?
old expectations.
things you wish had happened differently.
guilt, worry or resentment.
versions of yourself you've already outgrown.
things that once served you, but don't anymore.
a conversation that lingers.
This was the theme of today’s free monthly journaling workshop and together we explored what it might mean to release some of what we're carrying to make space for something new.
If you fancy taking a few minutes with your journal, try these:
What am I currently carrying that feels heavier than it needs to?
What am I holding onto and what is it costing me?
Is there something I can accept rather than continue trying to change?
If I let go of what no longer serves me, what would I like to make space for?
And notice what becomes possible when you create a little more space for yourself and what matters to you.

Next month, my free journaling workshop takes place on Monday 2nd November and is focused on the theme of calm and clarity. You can register here.
