Each month I host a free 'Journaling for well-being' workshop. It's 30 minutes of support and inspiration for your journaling practice. We focus on two techniques:
1 - Wild writing, a free-style journaling method.
2 - Utilising guided prompts around a particular theme.
The theme for the session was 'discovering self-love'.
Self-love is not about perfection or selfishness - it’s about accepting yourself as you are, nurturing your well-being, and honouring everything about you - it is true acceptance. The path to self-love can take time and be difficult - even to acknowledge that you want to love yourself more. With each step it gets easier and starts with private introspection and self-knowledge. In today’s journaling session, we explored what self-love looks like for each of us and how we can step more fully into it, one kind and intentional thought at a time. If you missed the live session, you can catch up on the recording or the prompts below.
Your journaling prompts
What does self-love mean to me?
What is one thing I truly appreciate about myself, and why does this matter to me?
How could I show myself more compassion, even on difficult days?
What beliefs do I have that make it hard to show myself love? and how could I challenge this belief?
What is one thing my future self would like me to start doing today?
Circle the words that stand out to you the most.
“You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection”

Next month, my free journaling workshop takes place on 3rd March and is focused on the theme of Spring awakening. You can register here.
