Purpose. Why I do what I do.

Why do you do what you do? Here's why I do what I do...

Coaching introduced me to me.

I started working with my own coach when I felt completely stuck. I wasn’t unhappy, I had a great career, I was fit and healthy, had a lovely home, and close friends and family. From the outside everything was as it should be. But over time I felt a growing discomfort, a desire for more, but at a complete loss as to what to do about it.

I turned to a coach who helped me get to know myself. Up until that point, I thought I knew myself pretty well but I had never looked at the layers, or understood who I really was, what I stood for or what motivated me.

I never appreciated how much our early influences, our personal needs and our values shaped our everyday lives.

Establishing a deeper relationship with myself in this way (which is an endless journey btw) has helped become more accepting, more compassionate and more true to who I am.

It enabled me to imagine a life I wanted to create and gave me the belief that I was deserving of having it.

This is what led me to becoming a coach - to help others establish a deeper relationship with themselves, to identify their true self and to enable them to believe that they are deserving.

Connection is one of my values and this runs through everything I do; a deep connection to the power of coaching through my own experiences and meaningful, long term relationships with those I work with.

For me, I am motivated, and rewarded when there is a connection. I get energy from the source and am happy to give my energy in return. I feed off the source of the connection. It feels like joy.

Why do you do what you do?
